CO-ORDINATION, RESEARCH SUPPORT AND INFORMATION

Co-ordination of and information on Greenland-related research is central and was until the beginning of 2009 managed by the Dansk Polarcenter. The activities of Dansk Polarcenter are now taking place in the context of the Danish Agency for Science, Technology, and Innovation.

The Commission for Scientific Investigations in Greenland

The Commission for Scientific Investigations in Greenland (KVUG) has since 1878 played a central role for research in Greenland.

KVUG is an advisory body for both the Danish and Greenlandic ministers of research with regard to Danish-Greenlandic research co-operation. The omission is responsible for drafting common Danish-Greenlandic strategies within polar research.
